Bolsterstone Archaeology and Heritage Group

We are a community group dedicated to exploring all aspects
of our past, and are open to times and places from across the world, but our main focus is on the local heritage from around Bolsterstone and the surrounding hills and valleys, and the region of South Yorkshire.

We do this in various ways; lectures and talks, workshops, walks in the landscape, and by occasional fieldwork projects including excavation and survey.

We meet in Bolsterstone village hall on the 3rd Wednesday of the
month except August and December. Non members are welcome to attend meetings.

Deepcar Brass Band

The band was founded in 1988 and plays to competition standards. It is also in popular demand to play at local events.
Senior band members help to train newcomers and prepare them to enter the main band.

Don Valley Probus Group

A meeting for retired professional business men. It is a social group with regular guest speakers. We also organise trips of general interest. Membership by application.
