Spring Judging 2010
Article posted: Sunday 28 March, 2010
Spring judging of our town’s In Bloom entry will take place on Wednesday 7th April commencing at 10:00am. Once again our In Bloom volunteers have been working hard over the past few weeks in an effort to spruce up our local community, particularly after the horrendous weather that we have experienced and the mess this has left behind.
It is true to say that the plants which we have planted have taken a fair old battering however with the recent improvement in the weather, the signs of spring are upon us and Daffodils are slowly opening around our Valley.
The In Bloom team would like to invite all local residents to make a special effort over the coming days to ensure our town looks its best, even if it means just keeping the area around your own property looking tidy and litter free.
The team’s Spring newsletter will be appearing in this week’s Look Local and further details are contained within it on the route which the judges will be travelling and ways in which you can get more involved if you wish.

Spring Judging 2009
Article posted: Friday 22 May, 2009
Spring judging took place on April 15th and we were visited by our two judges, Mr Bradley from Harrogate and Mr Stanley from Ackworth.
Both were kind and friendly and their preliminary comments were encouraging and they have provided useful suggestions on how we can improve the work that we are doing.
We are now working towards summer judging and if anyone would like to join us in our work, please contact us on any of the following numbers: 2888394 / 2831793 / 2883899
